Sun bathing in the Estoril Coast
The warmest and sunny days of Spring or the beginning of the Summer may be enjoyed with a simple walk by the sea, a soft-drink in one the terraces near the beach or, why not, sunbathing in the Estoril Coast beaches.
The average temperatures of the air and water during the months from June to September range from 21ºC and 17ºC and the beaches have lifeguards. The sea status is controlled and signalized by flags: the green flag means means the sea is calm, it is possible to swim and dive in safety; the yellow flag requires that visitors be vigilant and it is advised against swimming and the red flag means danger and imprudence when entering the water.
Walks in the Cascais “Paredão”
For those the prefer the pool, you’ll find the Tamariz (Estoril) pool a good alternative for fun. After the beach or pool, the late afternoons may be spent with a walk on the by-the-sea route, known has “Paredão”, between Cascais and São João do Estoril, that has showers available for the visitors, water spouts, rest benches and good lights, for the course of 3 Kilometers.
Our visitor may also explore a set of routes near the coast in which it is possible to observe the rich natural heritage of the region. Here are some interesting places: Boca do Inferno, Duna Dóssil de Oitavos, Cabo Raso, Guincho, Sintra Hills and the Cabo da Roca.

Highlight: The beaches that also wield a blue flag are certified by the European Union for their quality of sand, water and services. With the begining of the summer season, beach equipments are made available – dressing rooms, tents, sun shades, restaurants, bars, that provide to the visitor the pleasure of days in beach with commodity and safety.
