Sea specialties

The regional specialties of the Estoril Coast are the fish and the shrimp. Between the more characteristic plates we cannot go without mentioning the fish stew, grilled sea bass, sole fish, dried codfish, shrimp rice, grilled lobster, stuffed crabs and many others.

We can not fail to mention the most sweet and delicious recipes, like traditional Queijadas of Sintra or the famous Areias of Cascais. If you’re able to resist all of these temptations, you can always opt for the international food, also served in most restaurants.

Superior quality wines.

When it comes to wines, the quality of the best portuguese wines is considered by connoisseurs to be equivalent to that of its french congeners, which have a higher price tag.

The main delimited regions are the Douro, the Dão and the Alto Alentejo, but in the Estoril Coast, in very small quantities, the Colares and the Carcavelos wine is produce, rarities that you may have the opportunity to experience.
